A Great Loss Where We Might Help

A fellow Blogger, Anett of Mouse House experienced a real tragedy in her family. Her great-granddaughter accidentally swallowed what you see below. The link I've provided to the article is brief and insightful. I hope we might be able to leave a note at Mouse House creating a sort of Spirit Gallery for her to turn to during this difficult time. Update: They received this news while her husband, Great Grandpa, was in the hospital. He was there for a Knee Replacement. They over medicated John with pain meds and he went into cardiac and respiratory arrest. Chemical pneumonia set in. She needs us.

I'm reminded that while I'm frustrated, angry and irritable at my own physical state there is great loss and suffering in this world, greater than mine. I love Anett dearly. It is my intention to lift her up in some small way, to give her a deep well of faith to reach into, to let her know the power of the Realm of Quilters. We are all here for you my friend.

What a tragedy! I never thought of a battery as being so dangerous! Thanks for the heads up. No matter how bad things get, there is always someone who has it worse. There's a lesson in there.

How could a Mom ever have known in time that this little girl swallowed what she did? This is just such a terribly sad and tragic accident. I am sorry for the loss of this dear child. I too learned a lesson here.

This is so sad and it almost made me physically ill reading it. As a parent you pay so much attention to so many things and then to think something so little and innocuous that you would never think of, I know I don't, can totally devastate your world. It's just unbelievable. I am so happy that the little angel is in a better place and may her spirit serve to enlighten others. I know it has me.

As I sat in the hematologist's waiting room earlier this a.m. with my MIL, a very (!!) ill woman came in for her appointment. MIL turned to me and said "maybe the reason I have to come to the doctor's office is to remind me that I'm really not that bad off after all."

To which I silently said AMEN.

Blessings to you Karen for letting us know about Anett's family ~
